“I don’t even know where his building is. I don’t have anything to do with that building, I neither have problems with that building, nor live in that building, nor want to have anything to do with Hmayak Hovhannisyan,” Suren Khachatryan, the governor of Syunik, gave such a response to a statement of Hmayak Hovhannisyan, the president of the Union of Political Scientists, during a conversation with www.aravot.am. As we have informed, Hmayak Hovhannisyan stated during a press conference today that his workers had seen Suren Khachatryan, the governor of Syunik, caressing the walls of his office. He assured that Suren Khachatryan aspired to obtain that office through businessman Senik Julhakyan and under his name. Khachatryan said that he knew Senik Julhakyan, “I know him, he is from Goris, but there is no such thing that I want to take the building through him.”
As for Hmayak Hovhannisyan’s words that “I will cut Suren Khahcatryan off Yerevan, he doesn’t even have the right to walk in Yerevan,” Suren Khachatryan said, “Advise that man to see a doctor, it seems that man needs treatment. Who is he to cut me off, goddamn him. What is he to cut me off?” In response to our observation that perhaps he knew that Hmayak Hovhannisyan was included in the Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) list, Mr. Khachatryan said, “And so what? It doesn’t matter in which list he is included.”
The governor of Syunik assured several times that he had nothing to do with the building of the Union of Political Scientists.
