At the Substantive Session of the UN Disarmament Commission, the Delegation of Armenia reiterated Armenia’s obligations under the treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons and stressed the importance of the early entry into force of the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty.
The Delegation also underlined that international humanitarian law applies fully and without exception to all weapon systems, including those incorporating artificial intelligence and autonomous functions.
Armenia emphasized the critical importance of ensuring meaningful human involvement in the development, deployment, and use of military AI systems.
