The power of repentance

June 21,2013 17:09

“Sorry, dear Prime Minister and the Cabinet, you are using the budget money very effectively, there is no abuse and no “kickback” in Armenia and can not be, and hell’s delight where I have taken my published facts from, simply it was an obscurity of brain”, – this is the open letter that Ishkhan Zakaryan will address to the Prime Minister. “Excuse us, dear taxpayers of Armenia that I have spent AMD 123 million on 2 bio-toilets, it was a useless extravagance that is not no way justified in my country where there is 35 percent of poverty. I am also sorry I also think that for five years I make you sick with unrealistic projects, specifically with Gyumri techno-park.”,- this will be the message of addressed the Prime Minister of Armenia to the citizens. “Faithful Armenian people, I am sorry that I have become a Godfather to such a scoundrel Ashot Soukiasyan, who misusing our familiarity opened an offshore bank account under my name to discredit me, I am also sorry that I have taken a precious gift from this criminal, I am going to sell it and spend it on establishing a charitable dining facilities”, – with this the Archbishop Navasard Kchoyan will address to the faithful people of Armenia.

Do you believe that such a thing is possible? I do not believe it. Because we do not believe in strong power of repentance at all, we are sure that both the private life and at work we work so perfectly that everyone should kneel before us and thank us.

“Did you know what I’ve done for these people?”, this is the constant posture of our officials, politicians and businessmen. In other words, the “heroic deeds” that they have done compensate their “little sprees”, which they explain as absolutely pardonable human weakness. By the way, just with such “invaluable services to the nation”, ignorant people justify their presence in the Parliament. It turns out that they are also suffering there for my nation.

But let’s finish optimistically. Yesterday the Republican Party member Ashot Papayan, who attacked the journalist Hakob Karapetyan during the Yerevan Council elections, publicly apologized to him. I do not know, I think the final assessment should come from Hakob, but I think that in any case it is a normal, manlike and encouraging deed from Papayan, he is a person that does not want to have a stigma of hooligan on him. Here comes the turn of the Deputy Vardan Ayvazyan, who certainly should apologize to Gohar Veziryan. But, I suppose, he will never do it, because he is not afraid of the stigma of a hooligan. Apparently, he has a lot of other stigmas.
