The secretary of the ANC faction Aram Manukyan recently assured in the press conference of Facebook page of “Liberty” r/c that the PAP had left Serzh Sargsyan’s team and the target of 4 political forces is one. Yesterday, in his press conference, the ANC leader Levon Zurabyan speaking about the target, Serzh Sargsyan’s impeachment, said that they do not have illusions that can be done with this Parliament. Aravot.am inquired from Levon Zurabyan whether they succeeded to tear PAP away from the power team, if 4 political forces really have the same target, why is it an illusion to demand Serzh Sargsyan’s resignation at the Parliament? He replied that these conclusions are not justified. “When we say that the base of the political power narrows, some parts are coming out, it does not still mean that these parts after coming out become as heroic and confronting fighters against them, as was this movement during these 5 years. We have never said anything like this. We have not said that they like us will struggle, putting everything at risk. We just say, their base is weakening, and these people are coming out. That is a fact. ARF was a member of the coalition, it came out, PAP was a member of the coalition, it came out. Does it vote with us now? It does.”
To our observation that during the voting of major issues there are so many absentees from PAP that did not change the results of the vote, Levon Zurabyan replied,- “What is the problem? So, you think that it is not a result, then think so. If a political power has come out
of the coalition, think it is not a result, keep thinking so.” To our question if it is impossible to get together with the entire opposition around 1 issue and pass it at the National Assembly, what progress we are talking about, he replied,- “The progress is that 5 years ago it was completely impossible to discuss any issue in the Parliament. The atmosphere that we have now was not there then. The panic that is available now in the camp of the power was not there then. All of these are results of those processes. Now the positions of the ruling party are weakening. The powers are gradually coming out. You may not consider it a result as well.” We clarified whether they really come out, whether their and PAP’s target is the same, he replied,- “You know what, specifically who is whose target, go and ask the shooter. We, as shooters, say distinctly who our target is. And we organize political processes, including with participation of those political powers to have our targets attacked. We do this. If 3 years ago someone had said to you that the Congress, the PAP, ARF and Heritage jointly may possibly demand the Commission of March 1 at the National Assembly, you would consider this man crazy, a dreamy person.”
