For many months, “Star” supermarket chain is unable to pay the amounts of companies supplying products to it. Even the individuals who supplied products to “Star” with an invoice, as of today, can not get their money back in full. This was assured to Aravot.am in an interview with several creditors, which, however, are unable to establish any contact with the “Star” responsible officials. There are companies, whom “Star” owes millions. “Star” owes more than 15 million drams to “Bakery Andranik” company that is better known to the public under “Surik’s lavash” brand. According to the company’s accountant Susanna Grigoryan: “Only with the support of a few journalists we have been able to take just 500,000 drams of our money back. We were not able to communicate with the management company anymore.”
To our questions whether you applied to the court to get your money back, the company’s accountant said: “I hoped that humanly treated with them and not applying to the court, we will be able to take our money over time.” “Star” owes 25 million drams to “Chanakh” dairy company. In a conversation with us, the director of the company Ghukas Buniatyan told us that due to the debt the company has debts to the other business entities. “The lack of money has a serious impact on our company, because we, in our turn, are unable to pay the cattle farmers.” “Chanakh’s” debt is also prescribed by the document. The director said that the “Star” responsible persons had gone “underground” and cannot be reached. “Chanakh” also did not apply to the court for the time being. “Arminfo” agency recently reported that “Star” retail network would begin the process of bankruptcy, insolvency by a court procedure. According to the law, to declare bankruptcy, this or that company must apply to the court and only the court declares the company bankrupt.
