The community will provide the building materials of the wall
On December 19, the International Committee of the Red Cross delegate, Matthias Weinreic, was asked whether the Red Cross would come up with a new initiative to protect the civilian population of Armenia in Tavush border. He said, “We have similar projects that we carry out on both sides of the international border. Yesterday, we were talking with the village mayor of Aygepar village and were discussing the plan of building a protective wall. Today, you had been in the village and had seen the kindergarten. There is a sufficiently open space on the right side of it. Building the wall will enable to protect the building, there are many tracks left by the bullets over the years. In other words, in partnership with the village community, we will try to address this problem and help to build the wall. Presently, the matter of providing building materials by the village is underway. And, as for financing, we cherish a hope that, with our support, such program will be carried out in the near future.”
