“New Armenia” Public Salvation Front announced that the “third mobilization” of the people has launched. The first question that arises in this regard is the outcome of the first two “mobilizations.” It is logical to ask that if the “regime” did not leave as a result of the previous “mobilizations” and your rallies were attended by several dozen people, then why you do not record that this was not a mobilization of the people and why you do not explain the reasons for the announced lofty goals’ failure to become a reality only after then to announce about the similarly shocking projects. This question must first of all raised by the journalists. But we do not do it and I can guess why. Because we are afraid that “super-oppositions” will pop up and say, “Did you see that the third mobilization of people is in panic mode because of the regime and, therefore, are trying to discredit the movement of powerful people.” But our “cautious” position contributes to the fact that the 50-people rallies are presented as an “opposition front” while the true influential opposition is not being formed.
Let me illustrate another example, it seems to me it is of a more important sphere. When the high school was “established”, the officials responsible for education were similarly loftily announcing that it is the end, there will be no tutors anymore, the young people will study the school-subjects of their interest so fundamentally in their “group” that they will become almost ready students and the university lecturers will massively come to high school to teach. But the reality is too far from these loud words. In the case of ordinary high schools, the need for tutors is still in demand like before, while the university professors do not teach there. The high school is merely the 4-year “extended” option of the former 9-10 grades of the school, with the same teaching if not worse quality. The sector, indeed, requires substantial investments but prior to the investments, it is necessary to make an analysis as to why lofty promises were not implemented, also, it is necessary to have serious and realistic reform program. Is the media interested in this topic? Absolutely because the dialogue of Nicole and Shmays (of course, with condemning “vows and wows”) provides a much larger audience.
… Yesterday, attorney Hayk Alumyan, in his interview with me at “A1+”, told that everyone has the right to complain of the courts and investigative bodies. According to him, all except the lawyers because the improvement of the work of these two systems is directly dependent on the consistency and professionalism of lawyers. Maybe something like this can be said about us, the journalists.
