To the question of whether there is a connection with the demonstration in Stepanakert yesterday, Hayk Khanumyan’s statements, criticism addressed to NKR authorities and his being beaten today, Davit Babayan replied, “Knowing him very well, I can say that there might be a personal problem. But legally, no one has applied to the police. As a person, I can only express my personal opinion, unfortunately knowing him well, knowing that he can insult people and so on … it is possible that such a thing could have happened. But there is nothing legal, no application has been opened at the police. What can we talk about if there is no fact?” At the Parliament, in an interview with journalists, Head of RPA faction Vahram Baghdasaryan also refrained from commenting. “I still do not have information, I was just reading to call later.” As for yesterday’s rally in Stepanakert, the petition-demand to appoint Samvel Babayan a Defense Minister of Nagorno-Karabakh, Vahram Baghdasaryan said that he does not think that the fate of the army is decided by petitions. RPA faction leader highly appreciates Samvel Babayan’s contribution but he does not think that the right path is selected.
