Zaven Andriasyan, Hayk Martirosyan lead the table in Armenian Men Championship

Games of round 4 of Armenian Men and Women Championships took place yesterday. Before the start of the rounds, the Chief Arbiter of Men’s tournament Ashot Vardapetyan congratulated Tigran Harutyunian on his 20th birthday.
In this round 2 games of 5 were decisive. The first game to finish was the match between Samvel Ter-Sahakyan and Robert Hovhannisyan. A draw was agreed on move 24. In Round 4 The youngest participant of the tournament IM Hayk Martirosyan defeated Karen Grigoryan. GM Arman Pashikyan celebrated the second victory in the tournament and Tigran Harutyunian’s game against Manuel Petrosyan was drawn on move 44.
After 4 rounds Zaven Andriasyan and Hayk Martirosyan have scored 3 points and are leading the table. Leaders are trailed closely by Robert Hovhannisyan and Arman Pashikyan. Tigran Harutyunian has scored 2 points. Manuel Petrosyan, Tigran L. Petrosyan, Samvel Ter-Sahakyan and Hovhannes Gabuzyan got 1.5 points each and Karen Grigoryan has 1 point.
In Women Championship 4 games out 5 ended in victory. In the central match of the round reigning Champion Maria Gevorgyan defeated the leader Mariam Avetisyan. Anna Hairapetyan secured her third victory. After three defeats Nare Arakelyan managed to win the game against Narine Gasparyan. One of the top seeds of the tournament Armine Babayan also celebrated the first victory in this tournament. The only draw was agreed in the game between Siranush Ghukasyan and Susanna Gaboyan.
After 4 rounds Maria Gevorgyan and Anna Hairapetyan have scored 3 points each and are leading the table. Susanna Gaboyan, Mariam Avetisyan and Siranush Ghukasyan got 2.5 points, Arpine Grigoryan has 2 points, Anna Sargsyan and Armine Babayan are sharing the 7-8th places with 1,5 points. Nare Arakelyan ranked the 9th with 1 point, and Narine Gasparyan ranked the 10th with 0.5 points.
