The passenger flow in Armenia’s two airports comprised 875.011 people in JanuaryMay 2017 which is an increase of 30.5% compared to JanuaryMay 2016, the General Department of Civil Aviation told Armenpress.
In May 2017 the passenger flow in Yerevan’s Zvartnots airport comprised 198.182 people, increasing the figure of May 2016 by 34.5%.
In January-May 2017 compared to same months of 2016, 27.7% increase of passenger flow was registered in Zvartnots airport. The cargo transportation in January-May 2017 comprised 9341 tons of goods in the airport which increased the figure of that of 2016 by 81.5%.
In May 2017 the passenger flow in Gyumri’s Shirak airport comprised 8240 people, by exceeding the figure of May 2016 by 288.3%.
The passenger flow in January-May 2017 increased by 319.5% compared to January-May 2016 in Shirak airport.
In January-May 2017 flightslandings in both airports recorded 23.7% growth.
