Armen Badalyan believes that unless reconciliation settlement on Nagorno-Karabakh conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia has been signed, the war is always to be expected, “Regardless the evaluation of crisis or anti-crises institutions”. In response to the question, whether he agrees with the experts’ views, that NKR conflict is neglected by the co-chairs, Armen Badalyan said, “orphaned”, “It’s not absolutely neglected. Karabakh issue is being discussed little, but it does not mean that it’s neglected. Azerbaijan will not allow that either. Recently the border situation has become very tense. The G20 summit is approaching, and Azerbaijan wants to remind that this issue is not resolved yet, and that it needs to be considered”.
Armen Badalyan does not agree that Armenia should be the attacking side, “Those who say that we should attack, that military operations should resume, it would be better if they send their sons to the frontline, and only after talk about attacking first. We should not attack, since there will be casualties, and ordinary soldiers will die”.
According to him, we should be active in diplomatic arena, but the Republic of Armenia does not have the economic and political weight to carry out activities on the diplomatic front, “The RA authorities are engaged in a completely different issue”.
