Demand Khosrov Harutyunyan and Hakob Hakobyan to leave mandates not appropriate, Edmon Marukyan

December 12,2017 15:53

People on social networks demand RPA MPs Hakob Hakobyan and Khosrov Harutyunyan to leave their mandates for offending poor population.

“Yelq” bloc MP Edmon Marukyan referred to this, saying: “Making such announcement cannot have any justification. Suchlike behavior, announcements in a suchlike country having high poverty rate cannot be justified by any means, neither in a political sense nor in social-psychological. But the MP cannot be prosecuted because of any announcement made by him, it is not a defamation or an offense towards a certain person.”

According to him, it is not relevant to demand them to leave the mandate for that announcement. Marukyan told they are the MPs chosen by the citizens having voted in favor of the RPA: “Let people see who they vote in favor of. The mechanism of MPs’ withdrawal in our country, that they say to leave the mandate, or to do I do not know what else, is the following – he should not receive votes in the next elections. But we all know how the RPA receives votes, do we not? In every region they have told you to elect this one, this one is a good guy, and those votes have been in favor of Khosrov Harutyunyan. This is how he has become an MP. They should not have elected him, what can I do?”
