Protests against Putin throughout Russia: oppositionist Alexei Navalny detained

Protests are held in 90 cities of the Russian Federation against President Vladimir Putin. On May 7, he will again assume the office of the Russian president for the fourth time.

Supporters of Alexei Navalny take part in rallies in different cities under the slogan “He is not our tsar”. The rallies have begun from the eastern regions of Russia, Vladivostok, Irkutsk, Khabarovsk. In Yakutsk, police have detained more than 100 demonstrators. Demonstrations are also taking place in Moscow and St. Petersburg.

According to Russian TVrain.ru, demonstrators from different cities are being regularly detained. At this point, there are more than 300 detainees.

According to TVrain, police officers also detained Alexei Navalny from Moscow’s Pushkinsky Square. Policemen collectively detained demonstrators from this square.
