The speaker of the Republican Party of Armenia, Eduard Sharmazanov referred to the situation in Artsakh during the interview after the session of the executive body of the Party.
Sharmazanov shares the opinion of the First President of Armenia, Levon Ter-Petrossian, Artsakh hero Artur Aghabekyan and other political actors who were announcing that the people in Artsakh should be very cautious: “We need a stable Artsakh, we need both Artsakh public and the political forces to unite around the authorities of Artsakh, inasmuch as any domestic tension in Artsakh is neither from Artsakh Armenians’ nor the Republic of Armenia’s and nor generally Armenians’ interests. As it was 20 years ago, now stable, strong and unified Artsakh is the guarantee of the victory of the whole Armenian nation.”
Eduard Sharmazanov emphasized that the adversary can make use of any instability: “What took place in Armenia, although I did not agree on that, is impermissible to Artsakh, I agree with Ter-Petrossian nevertheless. All of us, all political forces without any exceptions, should be the encouragers of national unity, solidarity and the unification around authorities.”
