Upon the decision of judge Arshak Vardanyan on “Sasna Tsrer” case, defendant Hovhannes Harutyunyan’s preventative detention was changed and the latter was released from the courtroom.
Before that decision, the judge had published the results of the forensic expertise carried out earlier which prescribed Hovhannes Harutyunyan to treatment in hospital.
His advocate, Hayarpi Davtyan mentioned during the presentation of the arbitration that MPs from “Tsarukyan” alliance, Naira Zohrabyan and Vahe Enfiajyan had signed personal recommendations for Hovhannes Harutyunyan. The prosecutors did not bring up objections against that fact.
Let us add that before “My Step” public movement the arbitration on changing the preventative detention was rejected for several times. The advocate had emphasized for a set of times that the detention was not in concert with the health of the detainee, inasmuch as Harutyunyan had gained health issues caused by the gunshot wound due to the gunfight with the police officers during the days of police patrol occupation.
Let us remind you that Hovhannes Harutyunyan, as the other members of the armed group, is accused of keeping weapons illegally, occupying buildings and taking hostages. A part of the group members has been released lately.
