June 17,2018 15:37

After the session of the Supreme Body of the Republican Party of Armenia, Eduard Sharmazanov said that Artsakh issue was on the agenda of the session and concerns over the accumulation of Azerbaijani military technology in the Line of Contact was expressed. Mr Sharmazanov also said that they were similarly concerned with Azerbaijan’s militaristic rhetoric in connection with Armenian soldier’s murder. According to him, “This is a direct challenge to the negotiations which are intended for the peaceful resolution of Nagorno-Karabakh issue.”

As stated by Eduard Sharmazanov, when OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs were in Yerevan, Azerbaijan was making such statements together with its “Turkish brothers”, which were not out of the interest of the stability and security of the region: “Cavusoglu announces that he is both Turkey’s and Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister, which is not anything but a vivid manifestation of pan-Turkism. Previously Turkish authorities have made announcements in support of Azerbaijan, but such an evident approach is already worrying.”

Sharmazanov added that Turkey has nothing to do in Artsakh negotiations and the format of Minsk Group is not subject to any change.
