According to the Facebook post made by Sona Truzyan, Adviser to Special Investigative Committee Head, on the basis of evidence obtained from the large-scale investigative and procedural actions taken by the Yerevan Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia, a new accusation was filed against Mayor of Masis David Hambardzumyan and his brother Gor Hambardzumyan.
In particular, the Mayor of Masis David Hambardzumyan was charged with Paragraphs 1 and 2 of Article 225 and Paragraph 4 of Article 258 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia, and Gor Hambardzumyan with Part 1 of Paragraph 3 of Article 258, and Paragraph 4 of Article 258.
The investigator appealed to the court to choose detention as a preventive measure against them. The appeal for the Mayor was satisfied, while the one for Gor Hambardzumyan is still being discussed.
