‘Nikol Pashinyan is persecuting Robert Kocharyan’: Viktor Soghomonyan

“Nikol Pashinyan and the authorities are persecuting Robert Kocharyan under the cover of a criminal investigation,” the head of second President of Armenia Robert Kocharyan’s office, Viktor Soghomonyan, told reporters at Sputnik Armenia. Kocharyan is accused of overthrowing constitutional order.

“That mask has completely faded away and become a subject of mockery. This is a personal attack against Robert Kocharyan that has no legal foundation. His arrest is illegal. What is currently going on has nothing to do with uncovering the murders that took place on March 1st, 2008. Where are the murderers? Has one case at least been uncovered? Is this the result of one year?” Viktor Soghomonyan said. According to him, the events of March 1st have not been uncovered, and Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s claim that it has been thoroughly investigated is a lie.
