Armenian chess grandmaster Levon Aronian is leading at the 2019 Grand Chess Tour St. Louis Rapid & Blitz tournament, Armenpress reports.

After two draws with China’s Ding Liren and American Leinier Domínguez Pérez , Aronian defeated defending world champion Magnus Carslen.

The grandmasters will then move to the tournament’s Blitz rounds.
