EU NEIGHBOURS. A skills competition involving Georgian and Armenian youth was organised the EU4Youth project ‘SAY YES Skills for Jobs’ on 6 November with participants taking part in three professional skills, landscape design, cheese making and confectionery.
The Transnational Skills Competition was organised by the Georgian Farmers’ Association together with World Vision Georgia. The event took place in Tsinamdzgvrishvili Community College, in the Mtskheta region.
The competition was an opportunity for Armenian and Georgian youth to exchange best practice and expertise in their fields.
Representatives of government, educational institutions, international organisations, social partners, and private companies attended the event.

The competition was organised in the framework of the EU-funded project ‘SAY YES Skills for Jobs’, implemented by World Vision Georgia and Armenia offices in partnership with the Georgian Farmers Association (GFA), the Anika Association, public vocational education institutions and other partner companies.
EU4Youth – SAY YES Skills for Jobs aims to contribute to jobs and self-employment among young women and men aged between 15 and 35 in Armenia and Georgia, particularly those with fewer opportunities and from vulnerable groups, carrying out a series of activities focused on education and training, advocacy and youth work.
