Chaired by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, a consultation was held in the Office of Government to discuss the process of organizing graduation and entrance exams in the current situation.
The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport presented a package of proposals for holding graduation and entrance examinations in general, specialized and higher educational institutions. The package has been developed on the basis of international experience. After an in-depth discussion, the Prime Minister told the stakeholders to submit a draft government decision on the matter at hand.
The meeting next referred to the settlement of student tuitions. The Premier underscored the need to support high-performing students and instructed those responsible to develop a program of activities to that effect.
Views were exchanged on ways of providing schoolchildren and students with tablets. Nikol Pashinyan emphasized that the problem needs a comprehensive approach and instructed the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport and the Ministry of High-Tech Industry to develop and submit a strategic tablet production program that can not only solve the current problems, but will annually provide students with the necessary amount of tablets.
