On June 27, 2020, a Divine Liturgy dedicated to the Feast of Discovery of the Relics of St. Gregory the Illuminator was celebrated at Cathedral of St. George in Tbilisi. This is the last of the three feast days devoted to the first Catholicos of All Armenians. The celebrant was spiritual servant Rev. Father Virap Ghazaryan.
During the Divine Liturgy, the celebrant priest preached in detail about the mystery of the feast, the mission of Gregory the Illuminator for Armenian people. Rev. Father Virap also touched upon the fact that Armenian Church is named Gregorian, as well as its positive and negative sides; spoke about the honor to the Armenian Saints and misrepresentation the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church. The celebrant priest encouraged the faithful to continue maintain the Armenian Church steadfast, to be proud of being its faithful and congratulated all Armenians on the occasion of the Feast of Discovery of the Relics of St. Gregory the Illuminator, which are kept in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.
The faithful knelt and prayed in the name of St. Gregory the Illuminator, asking for His and other Saints’ intercession.
