President Harutyunyan received representatives of the Russian community of Artsakh
On December 27 President of the Artsakh Republic Arayik Harutyunyan received representatives of the Russian community of Artsakh led by head of the community Alexander Bordov.
Issues related to the community life, as well as programs being implemented in the educational and cultural spheres were discussed during the meeting.
The Head of the State inquired about the problems and needs of the community, listened to the suggestions and opinions on their solution, assuring those present that the Russian community of Artsakh will always be in the spotlight of the Artsakh authorities. The President stressed that the members of the Russian community are full-fledged citizens of Artsakh, who equally take part both in the sacred mission of the defense of the Motherland and the development of other spheres of the state’s life.

Arayik Harutyunyan highlighted that the people of Artsakh highly appreciate the efforts of the Russian Federation in the settlement of the Azerbaijani-Karabakh conflict and the mission being currently carried out by the Russian peacekeeping troops. At the same time, the President underscored relations with the Russian people formed on a common historical, cultural, spiritual basis and a system of values, as evidenced by the granting of an official status to the Russian language in the country and the implementation of a number of other initiatives.
