“Do not doubt,” the third President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan answered the question of the journalists on May 1 if the movement will succeed this time. He was at France Square, and he had visited the citizens preparing to spend the night there.
Serzh Sargsyan mainly gave brief answers to the journalists’ questions. To the question whether this time it will be possible to prevent concessions in the Artsakh issue, Serzh Sargsyan answered yes. To the other question of if there is fear that the government will use force, Serzh Sargsyan answered with a question: why should it use force? The journalists answered to disperse the gathering. Serzh Sargsyan responded with a joke. “Is the government a thief to disperse?”
To the question of if Ilham Aliyev’s wishes can come true, Serzh Sargsyan answered, “Their wishes cannot be fulfilled.” To the question, when you were in office, did the international community talk about lowering the bar of Artsakh, Serzh Sargsyan answered, “For ten years, the international community has been saying that Artsakh must self-determine. Do not pay attention to what is said.”
