Answering the question about how some political scientists claim that the signing of a peace treaty with Azerbaijan means that Russian peacekeepers will be withdrawn from Artsakh, and the rest of Artsakh will be recognized as part of Azerbaijan, Security Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan said that it is difficult to guess what political scientists mean when they make such claims.
“We see the solution to the problem in ensuring security, in ensuring the security of our compatriots living in Nagorno-Karabakh, as well as in ensuring their rights. According to that, the status must be determined. There will be guarantees of security, we do not know at the moment what the guarantees will be from an institutional point of view. We will discuss them during the talks. If we come to a decision and see that the security of our compatriots will definitely be ensured, we will agree to it,” he said.
