“If the USA does not evacuate the people of Artsakh, then it is participating in the genocide, doing the same as the Turks and Russians”

Citizens displaced from Artsakh again gathered near the building of the US Embassy in Armenia, demanding that the US intervene in the genocidal actions taking place in Artsakh. Levon Hayryan, the Chairman of the “For the sake of Hadrut” NGO, said they had recently appealed to the US Embassy, demanding that the American side evacuate the Armenians of Artsakh, whose lives are in danger. The American side still has no answer to this demand of Artsakh residents.

“We said at the previous meeting that we would come after a reply. You always listen to us, but this time, listening to us is not enough; we want to hear an answer. We demand that America clearly state its position. If America, like the rest of the countries, declares that Artsakh should remain part of Azerbaijan, it should evacuate the Armenians there. And the USA should evacuate because the Russians, like the Ukrainian children, will steal our children and take them to Russia for slavery.

Margarita Karamyan, the President of “Return to Dizak” NGO, presented their demands in a conversation with an employee of the US Embassy. “Let them say that they do not want to evacuate the Armenians of Artsakh so that we understand that the USA wants 120 thousand Artsakh citizens to be massacred there. If the USA does not evacuate the people of Artsakh, it will participate in the genocide, doing the same as the Russians and Turks. We want a clear answer from them; let them answer.”

Margarita Karamyan mentioned that they will take drastic measures if they don’t get an answer. Artsakh residents presented similar demands to the French Embassy in Armenia. Levon Hayryan said they applied for admission about two months ago but still haven’t been accepted.
