The ratification of the Agreement will regulate the mutual recognition of the documents related to scientific degrees. The aim is to ensure access to employment, professional activities in the field of labor migration in the EEU member states for persons with these documents.
This was stated by the RA Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport Artur Martirosyan, presenting the draft law on ratifying the Agreement on mutual recognition of documents on scientific degrees in the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union at the sitting of the RA NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Diaspora, Youth and Sport on January 9.
The Agreement, which was signed on June 8, 2023, is one of the measures of the implementation plan of the strategic directions of development of Eurasian economic integration until 2025. The objective is to eliminate the exclusions and restrictions in the field of labor migration through the recognition of the conformity of documents on scientific degrees, based on the Treaty of May 29, 2014 on the Eurasian Economic Union.
According to the key rapporteur, as of now, Armenia and Kazakhstan have not ratified the Agreement.
