The RA NA President Alen Simonyan had a number of meetings with the parliamentarians from different countries within the framework of the 148th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) in Geneva.
During the meetings, the RA NA President introduced the situation in the South Caucasus to his colleagues, highlighting the importance of establishing peace in the region and reaffirming the commitment of the Republic of Armenia to the peace agenda.
During the bilateral meeting with the Vice President of the Palestinian National Council Musa Hadid, the events taking place in the Gaza Strip were discussed.

The Speaker of the Armenian Parliament briefly presented Armenia’s position on the settlement of the problem.
“On various international platforms, we have always supported the peaceful settlement of the Palestinian issue based on the principle of two states,” Alen Simonyan said.
The meetings held within the framework of the 148th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union were held in a constructive and partnership atmosphere.
