The delegation led by the RA NA President, being on an official visit in Vietnam met with the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the ruling Communist Party of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam To Lam. As a result of the comprehensive discussions on the Armenian-Vietnamese relations. To Lam expressed confidence that the RA NA President’s visit will give new stimulus for strengthening the bilateral traditional friendship and multi-lateral cooperation in the near future.
Alen Simonyan in his turn noted that Vietnam is a special country for Armenia and added that special ties exist between our two countries based on mutual trust, traditional and cultural relations.
The sides also underscored the importance of the mutual tourism, noting that along with economic benefits, it will also foster contacts between the peoples. In this context, the issue of direct flights between the two countries was also highlighted.
