Tariffs for becoming a new subscriber of ENA will be reduced by up to 40%

At today’s meeting of the Public Services Regulatory Commission of the Republic of Armenia, one of the key agenda topics was the reduction of connection fees for new consumption systems to the distribution network, initiated by Electric Networks of Armenia CJSC (ENA).

The meeting was also attended by the Temporary Head of “Electric Networks of Armenia” CJSC, Romanos Petrosyan, Deputy General Director – Director for Economics and Finance, Armen Shahnazaryan, and Deputy General Director – Director for General Affairs, Sergey Kakosyan.

For both individuals and legal entities, tariffs for becoming a new subscriber (i.e., connecting a consumption system to the distribution network) will be reduced by up to 40%, while the fees for increasing existing electrical capacity or connecting new capacity will be reduced by up to 55%.

As a result of the decision, the following changes will take place:

Connection fees for private houses and 0.22 kV commercial consumers

Single-phase (0.22 kV)

Standard connection fee

For 10 kVA capacity:

Yerevan

Current fee: AMD 277,000

New fee: AMD 166,000

Other regions of RA

Current fee: AMD 229,000

New fee: AMD 124,000

For 14 kVA capacity:

Yerevan

Current fee: AMD 300,000

New fee: AMD 199,000

Other regions of RA

Current fee: AMD 234,000

New fee: AMD 140,000

Average reduction: 40%

Connection fees for apartments in multi-apartment buildings and commercial consumers

(Connection fee per apartment or commercial consumer for single-phase connection)

Current fee: AMD 672,000

New fee: AMD 406,000

Other regions of RA

Current fee: AMD 448,000

New fee: AMD 275,000

For 14 kVA capacity:

Yerevan

Current fee: AMD 769,000

New fee: AMD 424,000

New fee: AMD 318,000

Average reduction: 41%
