The High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, Zareh Sinanyan, is currently on a working visit to Los Angeles.
On May 9, in the city of Glendale, the High Commissioner met with members of the Armenian American Medical Society (AAMS).
The Armenian American Medical Society is a long-standing and highly respected organization based in Los Angeles that brings together hundreds of Armenian-American physicians and healthcare professionals. For more than 41 years, the organization has actively carried out charitable initiatives, organized medical missions, and continuously supported the development of Armenia’s healthcare system.
During the meeting, the parties discussed AAMS ongoing programs in Armenia, their outcomes, and future development prospects. They also addressed existing challenges in the field and highlighted successful experiences, emphasizing the impact of these initiatives on strengthening Armenia’s healthcare system.

The parties highlighted the importance of further deepening Armenia-Diaspora cooperation, particularly through the exchange of professional expertise in healthcare, the development of medical education, and the expansion of joint programs.
They also discussed the need to expand cooperation between the Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs and the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia in order to implement more coordinated and effective programs.
