His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, visited the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Republic of Armenia and paid tribute to the memory of the martyred leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, His Holiness Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei.
During the meeting with Mr. Khalil Shirgholami, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Armenia, His Holiness expressed his condolences and support to the Government and people of Iran, and with a prayer to God, that the Almighty grant peace to the soul of the martyred leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran and deem him worthy of the highest repose in the heavenly kingdom.
The Pontiff also expressed hope that, by the mercy of the Almighty and under the leadership of the newly elected Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Khamenei, the kind-hearted people of Iran will regain the security and normal course of their lives. Catholicos Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch of the Armenian Church and religious leader of the Armenians, paid tribute to the martyred leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, His Eminence Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei (may God be pleased with him), during his visit to the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Yerevan.
In a meeting with Khalil Shirgholami, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Armenia, he expressed his condolences and solidarity with the Government and people of Iran, and prayed to God for the martyred leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran (may his exalted station be elevated) to attain the highest ranks from the divine threshold. Catholicos Karekin II also expressed hope that, by the grace of the mercy of the Most High Lord and under the leadership of the esteemed elected Leader, Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Khamenei, the peace-loving people of Iran will live in security and tranquility.
