Russia is currently preparing shipments of several tankers carrying diesel fuel. The first tanker, carrying 40,000 tons, will depart in 2–3 days, President Vladimir Putin said. The statement was made during a meeting with U.S. President’s Special Envoy Steve Witkoff in St. Petersburg.
The talks took place at the Konstantinovsky Palace in Strelna.
“As for diesel, once both Sides announced that supplies would be delivered to the US, global diesel prices immediately fell by 5-6%.
We are preparing shipments right now, with several tankers being readied at once.
The first tanker, carrying 40,000 tonnes, will depart in two or three days, and the others will follow one after another. The key is to ensure that the financial arrangements are in place so that everything works.
