“We don’t have any expectations from these authorities, namely the Special Investigation Agency (SIA), in terms of revealing the killings”, said Alla Hovhannisian, the mother of Tigran Khachatryan who died on March 1, 2008, referring to the statement of Vaghinak Janazyan that there were no unclear circumstances in March 1 case. Mrs. Hovhannisian is convinced that not revealing the killings “is an order from above” and it is beyond SIA abilities to do it voluntarily, “I think it is a disgrace that after all, they say today that the parents of the dead do not help, do not testify, since concerning my son and two others who were killed because of ‘Cheryomukha’, the parents’ testimony has nothing to do, they were killed by police officers and those officers are still in the system. If these authorities had really wanted to reveal something, they would have looked into the report of the fact-gathering group. I just don’t have any comments to make. We just demand from these authorities to do their job and if they have not revealed the crimes, let them not go to Europe and pretend to be democrats. Our establishment is wolves with masks of lambs. Let them find other ways of not revealing their guilt, but it is just funny when the Prime Minister makes statements that the authorities did not kill, the actions of the authorities were lawful, in order not to pay compensation to the families of the dead”, said Mrs. Hovhannisian.
