On October 17, the “In the Name of Law” social movement organized a protest in front of the Parliamentary Assembly of Council of Europe (PACE), Yerevan Office, which was caused by the attitude of the President of the PACE, Pedro Agramunt, toward the members of the Armenian delegation on October 14. Note that during the free debates, the President of PACE had disconnected the microphones of the members of the Armenian delegation Naira Karapetyan and Naira Zohrabyan.
“They were proving the partiality of PACE being corrupted. The rights of the Armenian delegation and the freedom of expression are violated. PACE turned into an institution executing the orders of Ilham Aliyev. We remember the two anti-Armenian reports generated as a result of a caviar diplomacy in January last year, which were voiced in the PACE. Mr. Agramunt operates not only against Armenia but also against the high values, for which Europe has fought for centuries,” – announced Arman Ghukasyan, the Coordinator of “In the Name of Law” Movement.

He mentioned that “In the Name of Law” movement demands the resignation of Pedro Agramunt and a public apologizing to the Armenian delegates. The Movement also demands the PACE an impartial attitude on the Nagorno-Karabakh issue. The protesters submitted a letter summarizing the mentioned demands, as well as dollars with the image of Aliyev to the PACE representative of the office in Armenia who assured that he will pass the letter and refrained from giving any assessments.
