Since July 2018, new rules of order of appointing military service locations for the citizens conscripted to mandatory military service of the Armed Forces if the Republic of Artsakh has been executed.
Upon the new regulation, the former rule of army service on at least 50 km distance from the residential area is demolished. We can infer from the change that newly conscripted soldier of mandatory military service is granted a right to serve in the military unit decided in the result of the lot in advance without any hindrance even if the given military unit is located nearby the birthplace of the newly conscripted soldier.
Let us add that the new regulation is already in force for the summer conscription launched in the Armed Forces of 2018.
