On July 27, Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia and the general coordinator of the preparatory works for the Summit of La Francophonie Vahagn Melikyan met with Jean-Marc Berton, the Advisor to the President of France on francophonie issues.
The interlocutors discussed in detail the preparations for the Summit of La Francophonie that will be held in Yerevan in October, including the works carried out by the working group and the Secretariat of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The sides also touched upon organizational issues of events to be held within the frameworks of the summit and possibilities of involvement of the French side.
At the guest’s request, Vahagn Melikyan presented the activities of the interagency commission, formed by the decree of the Prime Minister of Armenia and headed by Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan, and the volume of works that are being carried out.
