A Francophone village opened on October 7th on Freedom Square for the Francophonie summit. It will be in place until October 12th. The Francophonie village shows the many cultures that are in the French-speaking world. There are 40 pavilions where 20 participating nations are showcasing their cultures and lifestyles. France is represented in a separate pavilion. There is also a pavilion for different Armenian organizations, such as the Megerian Carpet.
The French pavilion was created with the French President Emmanuel Macron’s “French is the language of possibilities” as its inspiration. Everything is represented in the Francophonie settlement, from virtual reality to professional classes, from food tasting to tourism. Many have confessed that this was their first time in Armenia.
