“There are rumors that the new parliament that still needs to be voted upon won’t last long. Do you think we’re just bored and we need to participate in new elections constantly?” the head of the Bright Armenia political party, Edmon Marukyan, said during a rally in Charentsavan, Armenia.
He said that such shock is not needed in Armenia and he assured that people are tired of such shock. People want a stable, developing, and working state government system. Edmon Marukyan added, “The state needs to have such a system that helps people. Today, the state is far away from the people. People come and say that they need to go from city to city just to get something stamped, how can the state be so indifferent towards its own people?”
Edmon Marukyan said that, through voting for Bright Armenia, there will be another political team in parliament.
Edmon Marukyan explained in Hrazdan what the party means when it refers to Western values. “When we speak about Western values, we are speaking of democracy, human rights, and individual rights, which our fellow countrymen often go to live in other countries for.”
He explained what he means when he says that they will be the second political force. “According to the rules and results of revolutions, the party that carried out the revolution takes on the entire authority and responsibility. The question of authority has been solved. But there’s a question of what other parties will be involved on December 9th. The government cannot function without other forces.”
