Members of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation’s youth wing were demanding the resignation of Minister Arayik Harutyunyan in front of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sport. Harutyunyan did not respond to demands for a meeting. The police initially warned the youth to leave the ministry. A police officer said that the police have the right to use legal means to forcefully remove the youth from the area and requested that the youth carry out their protests elsewhere.
“We did not enter a media station, we did not break any doors, we did not close off any court buildings, and we did not prevent judges from entering courts. We are carrying out civil disobedience in a legal manner. We are carrying out our constitutional right and presenting our complaints regarding education policies in Armenia,” a member of the ARF Armenian Youth Federation, Christine Vardanyan, said.

The police then began to use force to remove the youth from the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sport. But the youth did not obey. Instead, the youth began to shout at the police, “Shame on you!” They do not wish to clash with the police, but they also do not want to leave.
