On September 27, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch Catholicos of All Armenians; who was on a Pontifical visit to the Republic of Italy, had a telephone conversation with the Prime Minister of Armenia Mr. Nikol Pashinyan.
Catholicos of All Armenians and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia discussed the current situation caused by the aggression unleashed by Azerbaijan.
During the conversation the Armenain Pontiff has stressed need for consolidation of all Armenians throughout the world.
His Holiness has expressed his support to the Armenian authorities, emphasizing the need for joint efforts, the consolidation for defense of native Artsakh, and the preservation of the inviolability on its borders.
As it was informed earlier, His Holiness has interrupted his Pontifical visit to Italy and the Vatican and returns to the Homeland.
