November 16,2020 18:30

“When I said ‘own point,’ I meant that we would try to disagree with that logic. That is the point,” Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan said during an online press conference in response to a question by Armenia TV, which stated, ‘At the beginning of your administration, you said that you will begin negotiations at your own point. What is now your own point in the negotiations process?’

Earlier, in response to Aravot Daily’s question, Pashinyan stressed that he attempted to change the ‘land in exchange for nothing’ logic.

Regarding the new point, Nikol Pashinyan noted, “We need to analyze and create the new agenda that we have in response to the current condition. We need to serve that agenda, and we particularly need to concentrate on the issue of Artsakh’s status. The most important issue revolving around the people of Artsakh living in Artsakh and the issue of Artsakh’s status must be placed at the core of the negotiations process with new intensity and importance for us, as well as the issues of humanitarianism, communication, and transportation.”

The statement signed by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, President of Russia Vladimir Putin, and President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev stipulated the concession of territories to Azerbaijan and the placement of Russian peacekeepers.
