‘Pashinyan signed the November 9th agreement in advance’: Edgar Ghazaryan

February 17,2021 19:15

“Aside from protection provided by some law enforcement agencies, there is no other factor that can keep him in power. He understands that very well. He signed that document earlier than the presidents of Russia and Azerbaijan did because they signed it on TV screens where Pashinyan was not present,” Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Armenia and former head of the Constitutional Court staff, Edgar Ghazaryan, told reporters at the Hayeli press club regarding the signing of the trilateral agreement on Artsakh.

“In other words, he signed it in advance. He asked them if he could do that so he could immediately seek shelter after signing the document. I think that the other parties approved his request because they did not have the same problem,” Ghazaryan said.

Ghazaryan stressed that the document is an agreement, and no one could have  thought that the solution to the Artsakh conflict could have been a document that has no legal status. “If an international agreement is made, it must go through the process of ratification and the Constitutional Court needs to give its verdict. I believe that the campaign against the Constitutional Court played a role in the monstrous and criminal plan that we witnessed.”

According to Edgar Ghazaryan, Nikol Pashinyan is maintaining power through force. “If he has even a molecule of patriotism left in him, he needs to realize that and resign.”
