The obscene gesture of the Turkish Foreign Minister addressed to the Armenians is a contemporary threat to Europe.

Peter Steiniger, editor of the German “Neues Deutschland” daily, in his article entitled ” Disguised wolf. Provocation against Armenians”, while referring to Turkish Foreign Minister Cavucoglu’s nationalism, in particular, the “Gray Wolves” gesture addressed to Armenians during his state visit to Uruguay, considered it as a modern threat to the whole of Europe.

He specifically wrote:

“With an obscene gesture, Ankara’s chief diplomat Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu made a name for himself in Montevideo on Sunday. On the way to the inauguration of the Turkish embassy during the state visit to Uruguay, he showed the so-called “wolf salute” to a group of Armenian demonstrators. The protest against the politician coincided with the anniversary of the Turkish massacre of the Armenians in 1915 – a genocide in which the German Empire had a share.

The hand shaped into an animal head is the identifying mark of the fascist Gray Wolves, who have been terrorizing , in particular, leftists and Kurds for decades. The mother party of the Gray Wolves MHP is closely linked to President Erdoğan’s AKP. Fine references for the “European family”, then, and there are also efforts to establish a large-Turkish Islamist empire. The Armenians are feeling the effects too. Turkey’s historical policy on the murder of hundreds of thousands of Armenians in the Ottoman Empire during the First World War is a reversal of guilt and is a matter of state. Azerbaijan’s attack on Nagorno-Karabakh two years ago was inspired by the Erdoğan government, allied with the corrupt Aliyev dictatorship. Çavuşoğlu’s provocation is also a contemporary threat”.
