Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received the delegation led by Vice President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Seyed Hamid Pourmohammadi.
The Prime Minister welcomed the visit of the Vice President of Iran to Armenia. Nikol Pashinyan emphasized the importance of strengthening peace and stability in the region and expressed confidence that it will contribute to the consistent development of relations and cooperation throughout the region.
Seyed Hamid Pourmohammadi conveyed to Prime Minister Pashinyan the warm greetings of President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian and thanked him for the position and humanitarian support shown by the Armenian Government towards Iran in a difficult situation.
Next, the interlocutors discussed the implementation of programs aimed at developing Armenia-Iran border infrastructure. In particular, issues related to the construction of the second bridge and a new terminal, the consistent development of cooperation in the customs sector, and customs procedures. Both sides emphasized the importance of developing cooperation in the energy sector.

They touched upon joint road construction programs, as well as steps aimed at further developing cooperation in agriculture, mining, infrastructure, and other sectors.
The sides also exchanged views on the processes of unblocking regional communication routes and new opportunities.
At the end of the meeting, Prime Minister Pashinyan conveyed his warm greetings to Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian.
