Pashinyan, Macron discussed the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had a telephone conversation with the President of the French Republic Emmanuel Macron.

President Macron once again congratulated Prime Minister Pashinyan on his victory in the parliamentary elections, wishing him success in his upcoming activities.

The interlocutors discussed issues related to the Armenia-France strategic partnership agenda, reaffirming the mutual willingness to consistently develop bilateral relations and expand cooperation.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan thanked President Macron for France’s continued support for Armenia’s democratic reform agenda. The Prime Minister also emphasized the importance of deepening bilateral trade and economic cooperation and expanding Armenia’s export opportunities.

The deepening of the Armenia-European Union partnership, as well as issues on the regional and international agenda, were also touched upon.

The peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan was discussed. Both sides emphasized the importance of establishing sustainable and lasting peace in the South Caucasus.
