On August 15, in Kyiv, Acting Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Vahan Kostanyan participated in the celebrations marking the 975th anniversary of the founding of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra.
During the event Vahan Kostanyan held brief conversations with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Director-General of UNESCO Khaled El-Enany, Secretary-General of UN Tourism Shaikha Al Nowais and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha.
During his conversations with the President and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Vahan Kostanyan conveyed the congratulations of the high authorities of Armenia on the occasion of the celebrations and underscored the historical and spiritual significance of the Lavra, including in the context of the centuries-old Armenian-Ukrainian historical and cultural ties.
Highlighting the recent intensification of high-level political contacts and the positive dynamics in economic cooperation, the interlocutors emphasized the importance of maintaining continuity in dialogue with a view to enriching the Armenia-Ukraine bilateral agenda and further strengthening relations.
