On August 18, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, received at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin H.E. Andrew Turner, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Canada to the Republic of Armenia, who is concluding his diplomatic mission in the country.
His Holiness expressed his appreciation to the Ambassador for his fruitful service in Armenia, highlighting his contribution to expanding friendly relations between the two countries and further strengthening bilateral ties.
The Catholicos of All Armenians also expressed appreciation for the support extended to Armenia by the Canadian authorities and people, and highly commended the Armenian community of Canada, emphasizing its active role in the country’s public and political life and in the development of bilateral relations.
For his part, Ambassador Andrew Turner thanked the Catholicos of All Armenians for the warm reception and support extended to him over the years. He also shared his impressions of Armenia and reflected on his diplomatic service there, noting that he would leave with the fondest memories of the Armenian people and their rich spiritual and cultural heritage.
At the conclusion of the meeting, His Holiness wished the Ambassador every success in his future diplomatic endeavors.
