The situation in the village of Kajaran, the region of Syunik, is very tense. According to Rafik Atayan (see the photo), the headman of Kajaran, the management of the Zangezur Copper Molybdenum Combine operating in Kajaran put the population under pressure, even threatened to send law-enforcers, machines to work in the village, if the residents do not sign the agreements.
Let us remind that according to the Cabinet decision no. 627-Ն, dated April 28, 181,7ha of land of the Kajaran village, which includes also the village cemetery, according to the village headman, was assigned to the Zangezur Copper Molybdenum Combine for mining.
