“Members of the commission not representing the government were up to the mark,” Arsen Hambardzumyan, an alternate representative of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) Supreme Body in Armenia, said during a conversation with www.aravot.am, describing the election given the situation in the Malatya-Sebastia administrative district on the election day.
A. Hambardzumyan stated: “There was an unprecedentedly low turnout. Attempts were made to commit various violations, but those were prevented. Therefore, I hope we will have a good picture as a result of that, and there will be no problems during vote counting. At least, as far as the Malatya-Sebastia district is concerned, I didn’t record cases of violence, but there were cases of double-voting, misuse of proxy voting, submitting multiple ballots; there
were crowds outside the polling place, and poll-watchers were not allowed to make notes in the record books.”
However, our poll-watchers made proper notes in the record books and gave proper descriptions.
